5th China International Silver Industry Exhibition
Nov 8 – Nov 10 all-day

SIC Introduction

The 5th China International Silver Industry Exhibition gathers the most influential brands at home and abroad and lays its emphasis on showcasing and promoting the latest products, equipment and technology in the silver industry. It will provide you with a solid platform to communicate and cooperate with professionals in the silver industry.

The Most Authoritative Development Platform for Silver Industry in China

Promising Silver Industry in China

In 1999, China stepped into an aging society.

As of the end of 2012, China’s elderly po pulation reached 194 million, a year-on-year increase of 8.91 million, accounting for 14.3% of the total population.

In 2013, the elderly population will top the 200-million mark to reach 202 million, and the aging rate will arrive at 14.8%.

An increasingly aging population in China brings with it a market with enormous untapped potential, and a great array of opportunities for the silver industry.

A Booming Industry Brings Huge Business Opportunities

According to the “China’s Aging Population Trend Forecast”, the country’s aging consumers will spend a total of RMB 1.4 trillion in 2012, which will grow to 4.3 trillionby 2020.

In 2015, the potential scale of the market for elderly nursing services and daily care in China will exceed RMB 450 billion, and more than 5 million jobs will be created.

At present, community service for the elderly and beds in elderly care institutions are in seriously short supply. The inadequate, obsolete and underperforming facilities make it very difficult to deliver daily care, nursing and medical rehabilitation service and to attend to the emotional needs of the elderly.

A tough challenge as it is, this also presents valuable opportunities for manufacturers, investors, developers and operators to establish and expand their presence in the silver industry.

AAG National Conference 2018 @ Convention and Exhibition Centre, South Wharf
Nov 21 – Nov 23 all-day

AAG’s flagship event for practitioners, professionals and stakeholders in gerontology is only few weeks ahead. Do not miss the chance and join us in Melbourne on the 21st to 23rd November for the 2018 AAG Conference.

The theme for this conference is “Advancing not retiring: Active players, a fair future”. This theme builds on previous recent AAG conference presentations where the importance of both enabling and appreciating the contributions that older people make to their families, communities and society was acknowledged. The conference theme also acknowledges that opportunities for advancement are not evenly spread across the community. Older people who are poor, homeless, speak a language other than English, are LGBTI or from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds are less likely to be able to advance in older age than those who have more advantages.

The AAG Conference is the place to hear about cutting edge research from leading national and international experts in the area of ageing. The high-quality program will include over 250 presentations and discussions led by International and Australian speakers.
